Sean, Regan and I met up with Cara and Charlotte(Steve had to work). The girls seemed to have really enjoyed it as did we. There was much more to do there than I thought there would be. Visit my facebook page to see more pictures and vidoes.

A Day of Discovery
We enjoyed a fun morning at The Discover Center on Saturday. It was their Summer kick off/Expo so admission was free. Cara and I figured this was a great time to take the girls to see if they'd enjoy it or not before using the free passes we won back in the Fall from the girls Halloween picture contest they won.

Regan Rocks with no Rules!
Regan's drum set arrived on Saturday! We were all so excited to get it put together. She never left her Daddy's side while he assembled it. She immediately wanted the drum sticks so she could beat on the two small drums that came preassembled. She is so fascinated with drums and musical instruments. I do hope she continues to love them throughout her life. Sean plays the piano and I play the trumpet and know enough notes on the saxophone to be dangerous, so we should end up with a pretty interesting band some day! Enjoy the video clip; she played much longer, but it wouldn't upload, so I had to cut the video shorter.
Get Me Outta Here!
So, as if working from home and not getting out much isn't enough, it had to come a Blizzard! I hadn't been out of the house since getting back from my Business Trip on the 28th of January, so by this weekend, the 5th of February, I was ready to get out for a bit. I mean, I seriously had not even stepped outside to get the mail! So sad, but it's been so cold and the walkway and driveway were dangerously iced and snowed over. I get a text on Saturday morning from my Sister and she wants to know if I want to get out with her for a bit as she has to find Steve a Birthday present and get Charlotte some diapers. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance to get out with her AND her having an all wheel drive made it even better as NO way was I going to get out in my little 4 cylinder stick shift truck and Sean's van has been doing pretty well, but I'm not comfortable driving it in this mess. So, within an hour of her text, she was here and we were off to freedom for awhile. We went to ToysRUs and browsed a bit and then hit the Mall for awhile. We had lunch and shopped til we dropped; shopping is pretty tiring! We got some great bargains and had a good time. And to top off a great day, when I got back home Regan's drum set was sitting on the front porch!
I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Snow Cream!
We experienced our first ever Blizzard last week! We got about 6-8 inches, give or take here, but the wind was so strong, the snow drifts are much higher. I wanted to get out with Regan and play in the snow so badly, however, it was just too cold! But I did manage to make some snow cream. Sean had never heard of it much less eaten it and Regan had never had it either. Sean placed a big bowl outside to collect the snow; which took all of about 15 minutes because it was snowing so hard. I don't really have a recipe, so I just put milk, sugar and vanilla in it until it tasted sweet and yummy. The fam loved it!
