Play Dates Are Awesome Fun

Sunday we kept Charlotte for a little bit while Steve was working and Cara went to get a pedicure in preparation for her upcoming cruise. We love having her over to play.

She's got the beat.....

Over the last few weeks Regan has really gotten interested in musical instruments, specifically...the drums! She will use her colored pencils as drum sticks and beat on her slide, sit and spin, or anything else she can find. After her bath when she's sitting on the sink getting her hair dried, she uses her toothbrush and beats our a rhythm on the faucet. She's quite an artistic personality; she still loves to draw and now music; neither of which we will discourage. I loved playing instruments in High School and I hope she will too. As for drawing, I'm not sure where she gets that from as neither of us can draw a simple stick figure. So, artist or musician? I guess time will tell. We'd certainly prefer a doctor or a vet or something that makes decent money over a starving artist or musician, but her Daddy says that's ok as that means she'll have to live with us longer! Funny man! Enjoy this video of my littler drummer girl!

Lost and Found

We discovered Sunday morning that our pugs; Emma Grace and Star were missing. Our gate was blown open and they escaped. We aren't certain of the time, but we think Saturday afternoon. We worried about them all day Sunday. We called animal rescues, radio stations, police departments and animal shelters. Our local police department told us that we'd have to wait until Monday to call the animal control officer to see if he picked them up or not. It was so cold out and threatening to snow, we were just sick thinking about our sweet pugs out in the elements. Sean and I didn't sleep well at all and were on the phone first thing Sunday morning with the animal control office. Indeed they picked up two pugs on Saturday. Sean rushed to go get them, praying it was them, I mean what are the odds? It was them, we had to pay $46 to get them out of jail but we were offering a $100 reward, so we came out spending less than expected, but the money didn't matter. We were just so excited to have them home, as was Regan.

"O Dora Tree, O Dora Tree"

We got Regan's tree in today; who says you can't have a tree up all year. She's so excited about it. She keeps going in and saying "Dora cute Momma". I love it! Can't wait to decorate it throughout the year with her!

Weight Loss Here I Come!

Sunday I embarked on my "live or die" journey...weight loss! I have struggled with obesity for many years and it's time I stop making excuses, being lazy, etc. and do something about it. Not only am I obese, but I have a lot of health conditions, some of which I know will go away with the weight loss.

I have to live for not just me, but more importantly my family, mainly Regan! I want to see her grow up, I don't want her to be without a Mommy when she's just a mere child.

I have tried and tried over the years and would lose a little and then get discouraged by the low numbers and give up, no more I say, no more! I can't! NO matter what, I must keep trying to succeed.

My Mom has a saying "making memories" and I want to make as many as I can and for that reason, I will not fail!

Sean said to me last night "I'll behind you 100%, so much so, that I will eat the same foods as you"! Wow, that's a lot to come from his mouth, he hates eating healthy, but he too has decided he wants to get more fit and eat better! I don't know what alien took over his mind and body, but I'm not complaining.

So, ready, set, go! Goal weight here I come!

Our Lil Head Bangin' Girl

I was listening to music while working in my office and Regan decided to do a little head banging.

Merry Christmas....AGAIN!

Who knew that on January 2nd, after Christmas is said and done that we'd have it again! Cara came over bearing gifts from Mamaw Chris(Caras's Mother-In-Law).

"Baby Regan" (that's what Chris has always called her), got a Dora cup, pull-ups, a Dora DVD, and candy of course. Mommy got some awesome soup bowls and Daddy got a nice, neat, and huge, John Deere coffee mug.

Mamaw Chris is so thoughtful and while the gifts weren't necessary, we love and appreciate them. Merry Christmas again!

Crayons...on a whole new level!

My Sister got Regan some window Crayons, yes, she got a two year old window Crayons! And Daddy showed her how to use them. But she loves them and that's all that matters!

Regan is really into drawing, painting, coloring, etc and will spend hours each day doing just that. It's so awesome to watch her, I love it.

Here's her latest window creation.

Happy New Year!

We went out to eat Mexican with my Sister and her family for New Year's Eve and then went back to their house. The kiddos(including Sean) were asleep by 9p.m. So, Cara, Steve and I watched a movie until midnight and then off to bed everyone went. I think Cara and I had one drink and we didn't even finish that, but it was nice to be with family.

It's hard to believe that yet another year has gone by. As each month passes I can't believe how fast the time goes.

2010 had it's ups and downs but we ended it on the up side so that's all that matters! We look forward to what 2011 will bring!

I have lots of Resolutions; yep, that's right, not just one, but a whole list of them! Sad I know, but I figure if I make a whole list, I'm sure to do at least a few of them right?

Happy New Year! I hope you are all blessed with great things!
